That's a good idea from Chris using combined weight . I love the old car driver weight issue . Life is so boring when we are not discussion this issue

Well...............where do we go from here? At the close of entries for the Gold Cup combined event with the CF3 cars FOUR ONLY classic FF2000's had entered. Someone in a position of power must surely now accept that this years plan of spreading us around BARC, HSCC and Mono has failed, and the long overdue action must be taken if we want to avoid the series disappearing completely.
Does anyone have any better ideas than mine of a three year plan opening the series up to all FF2000's up to 1989 and running with the BARC all year?

George Fowler has bought a Reynard SF84 FF2000 this year and is running it in Monoposto and HSCC https://www.facebook.com/Monopostoracing/photos/a.446335352236234.1073741841.316398668563237/446336075569495/?type=3&theater

Opening up the championship to newer cars with carefully monitored performance equalisation is , I agree with Iain and Bob (plus a lot of existing and potential new competitors I have chatted with over the last couple of years ) a possible good , solid, future for Classic Ff2000 . If you guys agree , I am quite happy to chat to Ken and BARC , both of whom I have known for around 30 years plus (!) and get some feed back as to the viability of moving it forward . Monoposto ( especially with Steve at the helm ) is a great championship but I don,t think the hardened FF2000 competitors want to race in something they cannot win overall.

44 rf 82's in the country. We tried combined weight, it drove two drivers out and bought none in. If the tyres are restricted then Avon will stop servicing us if they cannot profit from being there. That's simple business sense.

I was hoping that Dan Gore would race one of my RF82's in the 6 round Tiedeman Trophy (after a great showing at Spa)... but due to date conflicts he can't... I would have expected him to have a good shot at being the outright champion. http://www.monoposto.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/2015-Tiedeman-Trophy-Entry-Form.pdf

Did we try combined weight, thought it was being suggested and they weighed a few cars, but as usual didnt publish results, maybe do a business like survey and study the data and make a decision with the powers that be. Good luck

Do we have contact details for the 44 UK based RF82 owners and for those of any other eligible cars?

Might it be worth setting up and inviting them all to a discussion thread online or even meeting somewhere to discuss what it would take to get them out on track regularly?
