Exactly a month remaining until the first round at Thruxton, our first race with the CF3 guys. I'm hoping to enter this one as long as I can get the car back together in time. It's currently a chassis with part of the front end attached and nothing more - busy weekends ahead. Anyone else dusting the car off? |

I assume that we need to enter the race through the HSCC? Can anyone tell me what the additional charge the HSCC make for late entries and how late you can enter? There are still a few things to solve on the rebuild before I can put the entry in! |

Yes Marc - you have to enter via the HSCC. If you haven't received an entry form you can use the generic form from the HSCC site here http://www.hscc.org.uk/entries-event-info Officially there is a late entry charge of £25 but I have never known the HSCC impose it - they can receive as many as 20% of their entries after the closing date. In terms of how late you can enter - probably as late as Wednesday the 1st April but the earlier the better obviously. |

Interesting how I have always felt clubs don't treat us racers (who pay for their existence) like members or customers with their draconian policies. We do it the other way round at Mono and as a result we are already near capacity or over-subscribed on lots of our 2015 races. http://www.monoposto.co.uk/2015-championship-registrations-and-individual-race-entries/ We treat people the way we would want to be treated ourselves... money gets taken a few days before the event, no 'late' penalty, cancellation up to 3 days before gets full refund.... seems if you treat people right you get the customers, funny that! |

Hi All, I run a Dallara 382 in CF3, unfortunately not out at Thruxton. However, I will be at thruxton this w/e. I spoke with the thruxton kart center yesterday and they are offering 15mins arrive and drive for £20 after 6pm on Friday. We are heading over and I have left a note on the CF3 facebook page. Anyone interested in joining? Cheers, Andy |

Well,...............first combined race done and it all went off pretty well I thought, it was interesting to have some different cars around. Shame about Richard Robinson's heavy accident, but after a visit to the medical centre, I think the biggest pain was in the wallett. Lets hope he's back out soon. Dunno what happened to Gridgway, he was beside me on the grid and didn't get away when the lights changed. |

In Race 1 Gridgway (Graham Ridgway) had the unfortunate (and almost unheard-of) experience of an Anderson battery plug break up, resulting in a lead shorting out on a radius rod. It was a shame about the startline shunt in race 2 and even more of a shame that so many cars ended up being involved. Still, I agree with Bob - the idea of combining the two series for mutual benefit seems to have worked on the whole. The racing (particularly on Saturday) looked good, with the two classes mixing it up well. I'm afraid you URS guys are going to be slumming it with us Historic boys at Silverstone but I have a sneaking feeling it's going to be a great weekend. I'll keep you posted on this forum about the plans for a social gathering on the Saturday evening. See you there! |
